Independence Day Wrap Up

We had a fun and relaxing long weekend. I hope everyone's 4th of July was full of family, friends, and fireworks!

Friday

Friday we hung around the house, did some laundry/cleaning, and Tim and I went for a run. I only went 1.5 and he went 4.3, but who's counting?

That night we had a fire in the backyard with just the two of us. A bunch of neighbors were shooting off fireworks so we got some sneak peaks! And had some s'mores - obviously.

Of course the pups always try to get in on the s'more action. They know Dad is an easy target.

Saturday

I've been listening to my trainer more and starting my day of with protein. So, I cooked bacon for the first time in my life (shocking - I know). He assures me once I cut out carbs in the morning I'll have more energy and won't be as hungry, so we'll see!

I went to a training session at 11 and then we got ready to go to a 4th of July party at Tim's coworkers' house about an hour away. They live on a lot of land and get TONS of fireworks, so it's a good time!

I also may or may not have eaten 3 rise krispie treats. I can't help it when they are homemade! So gooey and delicious!

Sunday

Sunday was super lazy and I loved it. The dogs were being extra cuddly and I took advantage of it by taking some selfies!

But just when I thought it was an all-day lazy, Tim suggested we go to the park, run the mile loop, and then do hill sprints. UGH!

And so we did. He smoked me, but I went up that hill (.25 mile up and back) 4 times! See that itty-bitty white dot at the top? That's the end point! Shew!

A couple days in the office this week then off to California for a site visit and weekend with friends!

Hope you all had a great 4th! Can you believe summer is flying by??? Crazy!
