Too Much of A Good Thing

Talk about first world problems.. our DVR is about to burst at the seams. Like my jeans after Thanksgiving meals.

And then you put football season on top of it and it's a cat fight everyday.

Me: Alright, let's knock out some of these shows.
Tim: It's Thursday. Football
Me: Shit. Thursday already?

Me: Alright, let's knock out some of these shows.
Tim: It's (Saturday, Sunday, Monday).
Me: Curse you, football!!!!!

I need to take a day off work just to catch up on my shows. The struggle is real, my friends.

So here's our line up. And my two cents.

Walking Dead
Started off really liking this, surprisingly. For some reason it's the only scary thing I can watch. Maybe because zombies are so fake? Anyway, as of late I'm kind of over the show. It's getting to be the same thing over and over. I would probably stop watching but Tim is still a fan.

Homeland
I can't say enough about this show. It is SO intriguing. Every episode is thrilling and suspenseful. If you want to start watching something you can get addicted to, this is your show. It's hands-down my favorite.

Project Runway
Best contest show ever. Even Tim gets into it, judging all the designs. It's hilarious. But, it just ended! Tear!

America's Next Top Model
Sorry Tyra, but ANTM has seriously gone downhill. Ever since they started bringing in guys, the quality of the show and the talent has greatly diminished. So, I'll get through this season and then probably drop it.

How To Get Away With Murder
BAH! Best new show ever. Rarely do you watch a pilot and then think, well DAMN. This show is quick-paced, thought-provoking, and entertaining every single minute. You need to jump on this train, NOW.

The 100
I'm hot and cold with this one. I like the premise so that kept me watching, but the acting is so. bad. It's hard to get into it. Again, Tim keeping this one in the running.

The Voice
Since the X-Factor went away, I've jumped on the Voice bandwagon. There are a couple contestants I'm crazy about and I love the dynamic between these 4 judges...definitely the best yet. So, I'm glad this one can fill my "singing show" void.

Total Divas
The best "guilty pleasure" reality show in a while! When you want to watch something superficial and not have to think too much, this one does the trick. And for some reason, I'm fascinated by John Cena and Nikki Bella's relationship. Pop that question, John!

Gotham
This is my second favorite new show. It's not an all-star acting cast, but it's exciting. I typically enjoy super hero films, so this one based on Gotham before Batman was Batman has got my vote. It's fun seeing all the characters when they are young and learning their back story.

Million Dollar Listing L.A.
We found this show whilst randomly flipping through the channels in a hotel room on a trip. I was shocked by the abrasive personalities of the agents and couldn't stop watching. Josh Flagg is the perfect mix of good guy and asshole, and for some reason, I love him. Plus touring the million-dollar homes never gets old.

Chrisley Knows Best
This is another great superficial one. Todd Chrisley is someone you absolutely don't like at first, and then he turns out to be freaking hilarious. Just give it a chance and you'll see what I mean.

As a side note, I'm SO PUMPED to hear that Bethenny is returning to Real Housewives of New York! I stopped watching NY because she left, but I'm back on board now! Can't wait!

So, how bout it, what shows are filling up your DVR this fall?

  1. THANK YOU FOR BEING OVER THE WALKING DEAD. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills because I think it's so repetitive and ridiculous now and used to be so amazing yet nobody agrees with me. I've been with Homeland since the beginning and LOVE it. The Affair is a new show that comes on after it and I'm liking it too so far. How to Get Away With Murder, um YES. Best show ever! Total Divas, you nailed it. Although I'm much more into Brie and Bryan because they're weirdo hippies like me. I've watched some MDL-LA but NYC is my fave. And there's my take on tv.

  4. I need to start watching how to get away with murder. Gotham is a great new show, and I can't stand the walking dead. Besides that I am also so excited that Bethenny is coming back, I haven't watched since she left but I am so excited!
