Make Your Travel Plans More Fun with These Tricks

If you ask me, traveling should be all about fun. No one wants their travel plans to be a drag. But having fun when you’re traveling is never as easy as you want it to be. You have a limited amount of time before you have to come home, and there are many causes of stress that can strike you too. However, by using the advice discussed below, you will be able to ensure that you make your travel plans as fun and enjoyable as they can be.

Pack Less and Do More
Traveling light can be one of the very best things to do when you want to have an enjoyable trip. It’s simply not true that you need to take a lot of things with you to have a good trip. It’s perfectly possible to enjoy your travels without being weighed down by luggage. Actually, it can result in you having more fun because you will be able to move around more and do more than you otherwise could. You’ll be freer to do what you want to do. If you want to head off and explore in a new direction, you can use a service like Ridester and do that. You won’t be prevented from doing this by having too much with you.

Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff
Sometimes, it’s far too easy to get caught up on the small things that don’t really matter that much. This is a trap that you should try to avoid falling into if you can. There is nothing to be gained by sweating over the minor things that are not going to have a big impact on the outcome of your trip. Rather than wasting your limited amount of time on your trip focusing on these things, you should change your approach and think differently about what you’re doing. The bigger things and the overall enjoyment you get from the trip are always more important.

Avoid Every Place the Guidebook Tells You to Visit
This is a trick that all seasoned travelers will recommend to you. When you pay too much attention to what the guidebooks are trying to tell you, you stick to the conventional things too much. This can mean that you miss out on the smaller attractions and underrated delights that the location has to offer. That’s not what you want to happen, so think carefully about this. If you do choose to avoid every place that your guidebook tells you to go to, you can find that you uncover amazing things that not many travelers get to discover.

Embrace, Interact and Engage with Things You Don’t Understand
Finally, you should make sure that you do what you can to embrace the things that you don’t understand about a location. This is what traveling is all about. It gives you a chance to engage with new ideas and meet new people. These are the things that matter most, so keep your mind open and explore as many of these things as possible.

Hair Health Check: Is Your Barnet at its Best?

sunglasses-woman-girl-faceless.jpg

You take care of your body and eat the right things, dress to impress and look after your skin. But how much effort do you put into caring for your hair? If it’s become a bit of an afterthought, it’s time to make a change. Hair can hugely affect how you look and in turn how you feel. If you’re in need of a confidence boost, here are a few things to consider in regards to your locks!

Is it in Good Condition?
Just like anything, general wear and tear can damage our locks. Air conditioning, central heating, pollution, heat styling, incorrect brushing, hot baths- they can all leave it lacking moisture and split at the ends. To keep hair at its best, it’s important to take steps to protect it. During extreme weather, protective styles like buns and braids will prevent it from getting damaged. Use a heat protectant whenever you heat style, and try to keep this to a minimum. Brush gently, and be careful when removing hair ties too. Spend time choosing the right products, this art naturals argan oil shampoo review for example states how it’s useful for dry hair. Different products will target different things, so work out what your biggest hair issues are and choose accordingly. Some will protect color, others will add volume, others will help to nourish and repair. Use a deeply conditioning hair mask once a week and run some hair oil through the ends after washing. These will help to condition and protect, the healthier your hair is, the easier it will be to manage.

Does Your Hair Still Suit You?
In your teenage years and early twenties, you probably did a lot of experimenting with your hair. Different colors, different lengths, and styles, chances are you had fun with it. But as time went on, you probably found a style and color you liked and stuck with it. However, just because it suited you once doesn’t mean it always will. Weight gain or loss, aging and skin changes will all affect what cut and color looks best on you. Extreme colors like platinum blonde, jet black or deep reds might look striking in your younger years but leave you looking washed out years later. If you’re unsure, you’re always best speaking to a hairdresser. They will be able to advise you on the most flattering look based on your face shape, colorings, and age.

Is it Time Consuming?
We all lead busy lives if you don’t have the time or inclination to be spending an hour each morning on your hair, then make sure you have some go-to styles that you can fall back on. It doesn’t have to be thrown back into a ponytail or messy bun, there are twists and braids that look smart but take minutes to do. Check out Youtube for some tutorials and master a couple of quick and easy hairstyles.

When was the last time you updated your style? Do you still have fun with your look, or stick to tried and tested styles?

So You Don't Know What Career You Want

There is no shame in admitting that you have no idea what you want to do with the rest of your life. Chances are, even if you did know, you might change your mind later because you’ve discovered a new interest, or you’ve realised that the job wasn’t exactly what you thought it would be. Still, with college application deadlines on the horizon, it can feel like you’re under a lot of pressure to choose something. While you are allowed to change your mind in the future, here are a few ways you can narrow down your options.
Follow Your Interests
You wouldn’t think you could make a career out of playing sports or talking about your favorite TV shows, but you’d be surprised. Thanks to the internet, people are making decent money by uploading videos on YouTube, and they might only be sharing theories about the next season of Game of Thrones, or sharing video game tactics. Your extracurricular activities don’t just look good on a resume, they teach you valuable skills that you could probably transfer to any job. If you volunteer for any charities, you’ve already got experience in a job you already love. The right volunteering role could help you break into the industry of your choice, or help you narrow down your interests so you better know which industry you might try working in next. Volunteering also shows potential employers that you are a selfless person, that you are open to new experiences, and that you have enough drive and motivation to go beyond what is expected of you.
Ask the experts
While you’re still in school, you have the advantage of career guidance counsellors telling you which qualifications you need for certain jobs. However, there’s more than one way to break into each industry. If you’re interested in healthcare, you could either talk to pharmaceutical recruiters, your school nurse, or any family friends who work in healthcare. They can tell you about their qualifications, which college they attended, and what experience they used to land their dream job. You might notice that no two stories are the same. It might be confusing, but you should look at it as a good thing; if there are many ways to get the same job, then you have more flexibility in the future.
Learn the necessary skills
College might be the obvious option for getting the qualifications you need, but it’s expensive, and you sometime get halfway through your course and realise your interests have changed. If that happens, don’t worry. Extra qualifications never hurt your resume. But if you want to save a bit of money, you can consider part-time classes, online courses, apprenticeships, or even work experience abroad. Spending time in a foreign country is always a great experience.
Never give up

Even when you can’t narrow down your options, or find something you think you’re good at, don’t give up looking. Every failed experience brings you one step closer to your dream job.

Say Goodbye To Sagging Skin

Nothing has the potential to kill your confidence more than sagging skin on your face and on your body. But the good news is that there is a remarkable amount you can do to prevent and even reverse it. Take a look at some of these expert beauty tips from researchers and scientists.

Use Cucumber On Your Face

If you’re worried about sagging skin on your face, then you might want to try out this cucumber-based remedy. All you need to do is grab a lemon juicer and use it to extract the juice of a cucumber. Then apply the resulting liquid and leave it to dry. Researchers have suggested that cucumber may be able to tone up the appearance of facial skin, thanks to the phytonutrients it contains. Once the cucumber juice has dried, wash it off. You should notice a considerable reduction in the size of your pores.

Eat Healthy Foods Which Contain Collagen
Collagen is the substance in your skin that keeps it firm and supple. When skin loses its collagen content, it leads to sagging which can wreak havoc on your confidence. The good news, however, is that collagen can be replaced by your body, so long as it is getting sufficient amounts in your diet. If you’re eating processed food and fries all day long, the amount of exogenous collagen that your body is getting will be low. However, if you eat a diet based around fresh vegetables, then your intake will be much higher. Foods that contain a lot of collagen include nuts and leafy green veggies. Is it time you started making green smoothies for breakfast?

Do Facial Exercises

Image result for woman face

If you take a look at the Zwivel online directory, you’ll notice that one of the big reasons that people go in for cosmetic surgery is because they’re worried about the lack of volume in their face. But what causes the face to lose volume and appear less youthful? Aside from what we’ve already discussed, another reason for facial aging is a loss of facial muscles. It turns out that the muscles in the face are extremely important in determining our appearance. They are what hold everything in place. This is why some experts recommend doing facial exercises to tighten up sagging or loose skin on the face and neck. Large facial muscles act as a scaffold, holding everything else on the face in its rightful place.

Use Natural Oils

Image result for natural oils

Dry skin tends to age and sag more rapidly than oily skin as a result of the lack of elasticity. As such, many women use natural oils to slow this process down. There are all sorts of natural oils out there to choose from, including avocado oil, jojoba oil, and grapeseed oil. Try mixing these oils with other natural ingredients like shea butter, and you’ll soon notice that the skin begins to firm up.

Use Face Masks
Face masks help to tighten the skin on your face, but not all masks are created equal. The best are those that contain an ingredient called salicylic acid which dramatically tightens the skin, making it appear more youthful and vibrant.

Rejuvenating Your Look: Bringing Back The Face From Your Youth

Life happens to us all. As the old saying goes, ‘Life is what happens to you when you’re busy making other plans.’ This is as true now as the day it was first uttered. The same applies to the way we look, over time it’s hard to notice that we’re getting older, our faces are looking more aged and we just don’t have that look of vibrancy we used to. This needn’t be a terminal diagnosis.

With the amazing array of beauty transformational products available today, there’s no reason why you can’t incorporate some into your beauty schedule and truly revolutionize your face. This will improve your self-confidence, help you to look younger and healthier, and overall feel comfortable in your skin, even as it ages. Growing old gracefully is important, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to be happy looking old when there are so many brilliant methods to look as young and gorgeous as you feel inside.

The following tips will help you improve your beauty routine to become that young soul you’ve always felt like once more.

Moisturize
A solid moisturizing routine will help you happily rejuvenate the youthful essence of your skin, and give you a ‘glow’ that’s hard to achieve without. If you wash your face but don’t use a moisturizer, you could be missing restoring essential oils and minerals that your skin needs to look healthy. If you’re wrinkled, using anti-aging moisturizer can help tighten up the lines in your face, especially under your eyes over a period of months.

Getting in the habit of moisturizing both morning and night will lend you skin that you never thought could be so radiant.

Take Care Of Your Teeth
An important feature of a great face is a great smile, and if your teeth aren’t in the best condition, you could be doing yourself a disservice. You don’t need to have the most straight, white teeth imaginable to look good, but taking a few moments to care for your dentistry requirements might be worthwhile.

Using whitening toothpaste or simply getting them whitened with a kit can help you look inviting and clean when you smile. Scheduling regular visits to the dentist to maintain your mouth health alongside getting missing teeth false replacements will help you look sharp and approachable. Plus, getting necessary work done now will prolong the need for dentures in the future.

Cosmetic Work
If you have acne scars or believe that you need a little extra work doing to maintain your luscious looks, you might consider getting cosmetic work done. If this is the case, make sure that you have a reputable service complete the work, and check their testimonials. For example, if you’re trying to get more even skin, searching for bellafill before and after pictures will help you understand what intended result you could achieve. Be wise, and be sure to pay for quality and safety as a priority.

No matter your age, it’s never too late to make sure you’re looking young and radiant. Taking care of your beauty routine could be just the ticket for allowing you to resume your youthful personality!

Feel Beautiful At The Beach: Getting Ready For Swimwear Season!

pexels-photo-320184.jpeg

Does the idea of stripping down to a bikini fill you with dread? As much fun as the summer is, feeling self-conscious about your body is never nice- and when the weather is warm, those insecurities really can come to the surface. Skimpy summer clothes and swimwear don’t leave much to the imagination, so it’s no wonder the thought of it sends so many of us running for the hills. But don’t fret, there are a few ways you can boost your confidence and get that body bikini ready for this summer.

Lose Weight and/or Tone Up
If you don’t like how you look in a bikini, chances are it’s due to your size or shape. Losing just a few pounds and hitting the gym could be enough to drastically improve how you feel about your body. Avoid the crash diets and crazy workout plans, simply eat clean and do a mixture of cardio and weights to slim and sculpt your figure. If you’re not overweight, don’t forfeit the gym. Toning your muscles and gaining a little definition as well as improving your shape will surely have you feeling more confident when you’re by the pool or at the beach!

Consider a Cosmetic Procedure
Sometimes diet and exercise is enough to give you the appearance you’re after. However, sometimes issues can be a little more stubborn. Maybe after pregnancy or weight loss, you’re left with excess skin? No amount of topical creams, exercise or healthy food will change this, and so a skin removal surgery may need to be considered. If you’re conscious of your breasts, implants or a reduction surgery could be the way to go. If you have stubborn areas of fat that don’t respond to diet or exercise, you could look into a laser liposuction procedure. These are useful as you don’t have to go under the knife, so there’s no healing time or risk of infection. And you can remove annoying fat deposits on areas like hips, legs or arms once and for all.

Shop For Flattering Swimwear
The right swimwear is so important and can be the difference between feeling awful and feeling confident. If you’re bigger busted, choose a bikini top with underwiring and which offers support for the best look. If you’re conscious of your legs or bottom, how about boy shorts bikini bottoms or a swim skirt? A tankini or one piece suit would work well if you want to hide your stomach, and a swim dress can hide a multitude of issues and look very flattering.

Get a Tan
Finally, regardless of your shape or size, a tan can make anyone look fantastic! Many people report feeling slimmer when they have a tan, and if you’re very pale, it’s sure to make you look a little healthier when you strip down to your swimwear. Always be sure to tan safely, apply SPF and build it up gradually to avoid burning.

Why New Jersey Family Beach Vacations Are So Popular

Atlantic City, once home to mobsters and bootleggers, is most famously known for the Boardwalk. Along the wooden footway are a plethora of casinos, bars, restaurants and performance theater. Laying so gently along this is the pale yellow beach which radiates the sun’s glare so flawlessly. At nighttime, the lights shine bright, the food is delicious, and ice cream doesn’t stop getting served no matter what.

Summer is almost here, but you may want an early vacation from work. This city is a remarkable once in a lifetime experience. Some say New Jersey has a history longer than New York. The traditional 19th-century wooden architecture smell of times gone by while the interiors of the shops and restaurants are similar to upscale NYC. Adults come for the sun, and the restaurants and the kids come for the ice cream and sand. Atlantic City is still what it always was, a diamond in the rough.

The bay’s complex ecosystem is unique along the east coast, so if you’re feeling in the mood to get an in-depth history lesson head down to the Wetland Institute.  The beaches are never crowded as many are doing their upscale shopping on the famous 96th street. The town has so much to offer kids, with kayaking, surfing, bike renting tours and an excellent mini golf course, all at their disposal. Finish off the day with the world famous ice cream from Springer. 100% homemade, with locally sourced milk and chocolate, Springer Ice Cream is almost 100 years old since it’s been around since the early 1920s.

Point Pleasant Beach
A superb family vacation destination. This boardwalk features a world-class aquarium with some of the most exotic fish from around the globe. The aquarium harbors anything from penguins, alligators, seal to sharks and stingrays. At night, the strip becomes alive with live entertainment. The kids won’t get bored in the Jenkinsons’ South Amusement Park. To top it all off, Frankie’s Bar and Grill serve one of the juiciest 10-ounce steaks in the entire state. For desert, Hoffman’s homemade ice cream peanut butter, and bonbon flavor will more than satisfy your sweet tooth.

How You Should Prepare for a Special Night Out

Special nights out with your friends don’t come around too often. That’s why you will want to make the most of them. It’s important that you plan in advance and make all the right preparations. If you fail to get this side of things right, you will definitely not be able to enjoy the night to the max. Instead, you will make mistakes and end up doing things in a more haphazard kind of way. And that doesn’t always work out well.

It can be a little daunting if you are not someone who is used to going out all the time. Getting everything right and not forgetting things can be a big challenge in itself. But don’t worry, and don’t let this worry you too much. There are plenty of things that can be done to make sure that you get the outcome that you’re looking for. Here are some of the best tips for preparing that night out.

Improve Your Skincare Regime in Preparation
Your skin is incredibly important. This is not like your clothes, which can be taken on or off. Your skin is there forever, and you have to take care of it on a continual basis if you want it to look great for those special occasions. So, if you have a really big night out or event planned in the future, you should immediately start thinking about how you can improve your skincare regime. When you get your regime right, you can be sure that your skin will be glowing, and it won’t distract from your outfit for any of the wrong reasons. And any problems can be hidden on the day anyway.

Plan Your Outfit in Advance
Your outfit should be the next thing that you focus on when you have paid attention to your skincare regime. If you want your outfit to look great, you should make it coherent and coordinated. That way, it will all hang together in the right way and look the way you want it to. You can find outfit ideas here. By planning it advance, you can make sure that you don’t have any problems with leaving things too late. When you do leave things too late, it can be hard to make your outfit look as good as you clearly want it to. No one wants to go through that, so don’t leave things until tomorrow.

dresses-53319_960_720.jpg

Consult Your Friends Too
It can also be a very good idea to consult your friends who you're going to be going out with when you are planning what to wear. You will want to make sure that you’re all on the same page and that you won’t clash too much. The other risk is that two of you will wear something that is too similar. That’s one of those nightmare scenarios that you always want to avoid. It’s easy enough to stay in touch over these things and get them planned early. If it is a special occasion, I’m sure your friends will be planning things out as early as you are.

If You're in Charge of the Planning for the Night Out, Take it Seriously
There is usually one person who is put in charge of making the plans for the night out. If this person is you, you should be sure to take the responsibility as seriously as you can do. There are so many things that can go wrong if you don’t plan out the schedule for the night. You might miss out on doing all the things you want to and going to all the venues that you want to visit. And if you’re the one in charge of planning, everyone will blame you if things go wrong, which is the last thing you want!

erotic-447691_960_720.png

Arrange Transportation
Transportation is another headache that you’re going to have to address ahead of the night out. How are you all going to get from where you start the night to where you go out. Booking a taxi is a good idea. Do this in advance to avoid frustration and disappointment. This is something that is even more important if there is a big group of you that’s going to be going out together. Those bigger taxis with more seats are harder to find, and they can be in short supply on the busiest nights of the week. Arrange all of this stuff as soon as you can to make your life easier.

Get Plenty of Rest Ahead of the Night Out
If you really want to get the most out of your night on the town, and you want to enjoy it as much as you can, you will need to get plenty of rest. If you’re really tired before you even hit the bars and clubs, you’re going to be wanting to head home before the night has even started. That’s not an ideal situation to find yourself in. So, rest up the night before, and if you can help it, you should also try not to have a busy day ahead of your night out.

Plan to Stick Together
Planning to stick together is really important when you are going out with a group of friends. You can be vulnerable when you’ve had a few drinks and get separated from the people you were with. However, it is pretty common for people to lose the friends that they arrived with. This is what you will really want to avoid. Make plans for how you will stick together, even when the crowds are big.

Weigh Up the Pros and Cons of High Heels
Finally, you need to think about what you are going to where on your feet while you’re out on the town. You might be tempted by high heels; many women are. But are they really worth the pain and discomfort? Sometimes, to have the most enjoyable night possible, you also have to make sure that you feel as comfortable as you can. So, weigh up the pros and cons of high heels before making your final decision.

Reaching For The Stars: How To Get Further In Your Career

If you love your job, chances are you want to get better at it, and advance further and further up the ladder. Getting promoted can mean more money, more power and - often most importantly - more flexibility to make your job into exactly what you want it to be. Here are some tips on how to get further in your career...

Improve Your Self Esteem
First of all, you need to believe that you can do it. A lot of people, particularly women, suffer from impostor syndrome, which essentially means that some successful individuals don’t really believe that they’ve accomplished as much as they have, and are afraid of being found out as a fraud. A lot of people feel some degree of this deep down - aren’t we all really just nervous teenagers at our cores, wondering how to bluster our way through adult life? But if you feel as though it’s really affecting you, it’s time to make some changes. First of all, discuss the way you’re feeling with your seniors - they’ll be able to give you some reassurance that you deserve your job and to be in the position that you’re in. Secondly, the best way to combat it is to keep working hard and to keep succeeding. Seeing all your accomplishments pile up is a great way to prove to yourself that you deserve them.

Keep Getting Better
One of the best ways to do well at work is to focus on your personal development. No matter how much you ask your team to succeed, if you don’t also work on yourself then you’re sunk. Keep going to conferences, finding out more, reading more, learning more, communicating with people in similar positions, sharing ideas, being creative - the list goes on. Places like the College of Westchester provide professional development courses that will enable you to achieve further qualifications that will help you get more highly powered jobs or get paid more in your current position. Focus on being hungry for more success and knowledge and you’ll get there.

Ask For What You Want

Finally, it’s impossible to get what you want at work unless you ask for it. Being pro-active is probably one of the top tips in the work place - don’t expect things to come to you and land in your lap because the truth is that they simply won’t. Instead you need to keep your eyes and ears open for any opportunities that are out there, and put yourself forward for them. Even if you don’t get everything you want to, it’s important to register your interest and to make sure that your superiors know that you’re interesting in advancing so that they consider you in the future. If you want to earn more money, again you have to make sure that you ask for it at your annual review - make sure that you go in there with a figure you want to mention. Even though you might find talking about money distasteful, getting compensated in the way that you deserve will help you be more respected, both by your colleagues and - most importantly - by yourself.
