Why New Jersey Family Beach Vacations Are So Popular

Atlantic City, once home to mobsters and bootleggers, is most famously known for the Boardwalk. Along the wooden footway are a plethora of casinos, bars, restaurants and performance theater. Laying so gently along this is the pale yellow beach which radiates the sun’s glare so flawlessly. At nighttime, the lights shine bright, the food is delicious, and ice cream doesn’t stop getting served no matter what.

Summer is almost here, but you may want an early vacation from work. This city is a remarkable once in a lifetime experience. Some say New Jersey has a history longer than New York. The traditional 19th-century wooden architecture smell of times gone by while the interiors of the shops and restaurants are similar to upscale NYC. Adults come for the sun, and the restaurants and the kids come for the ice cream and sand. Atlantic City is still what it always was, a diamond in the rough.

Stone Harbor
A quiet family beach, in the heart of a small town. Scarcely any hustle or bustle, you can shop at your leisure as the locals like to take life slow and steady round these parts. The bay’s complex ecosystem is unique along the east coast, so if you’re feeling in the mood to get an in-depth history lesson head down to the Wetland Institute.  The beaches are never crowded as many are doing their upscale shopping on the famous 96th street. The town has so much to offer kids, with kayaking, surfing, bike renting tours and an excellent mini golf course, all at their disposal. Finish off the day with the world famous ice cream from Springer. 100% homemade, with locally sourced milk and chocolate, Springer Ice Cream is almost 100 years old since it’s been around since the early 1920s.

Things People Believe About Feminists (And Why They're Wrong)

When there is a movement, there is always a counter-movement. It happens in microcosm, a response to the mildest of things. If the general agreement in the populace is that a particular song is the best by a particular artist, a secondary group will appear purely for the purpose of disagreeing, of applying contrarian practices.

Since its birth at the turn of the last century, feminism has had plenty of counter movements. It began with essential basics of human rights, such as the right to vote - and people argued against that. Then it moved onto the lives of women, right through second and third wave feminism.

Given that feminism has been around so long, it’s to be expected that there are opponents to it. It just so happens that in the last decade, those opponents have become more and more vocal - arguing back against a world where Beyonce stands in front of a “feminism” banner and women begin to see work towards a more equal society. Here’s the thing that happens; here are the counter…

Being a dog owner is a lot more responsibility than you might think it is. Not only do you have responsibility for an animal that’s relying almost completely on you for the next fifteen years, but it’s also important to make sure that your dog is as good a member of canine society as you are in everyday society! Here are some tips to help you out.

Give Them Plenty Of Exercise First of all, it’s important to make sure that your dog gets plenty of exercise. That doesn’t just entail taking them for a walk every now and then - larger dogs will require a long walk of at least an hour twice a day, which is a really significant time commitment and something that you should consider when you’re deciding what sort of dog to adopt. If you don’t have as much time or if your mobility isn’t quite as good, why not go for a smaller dog like a terrier mix or a chihuahua? You’ll still need to make sure that they get out for plenty of exercise but it won’t be as taxing on you.
